Slightly Intoxicated
It was an extraordinary sultry day when I was at the age of five.I came home from the playground and almost died of thirst.I was wandering through the kitchen for something to drink.First, I tried to drink tap water.However,my height was not high enough to reach the faucet.I called my mother for help, but she was not at home.
I gave up the idea of drinking tap water and decided to look for some other thing to drink.Finally, I found a bottle full of grape juice in the refrigerator.My eyes sparkled like a kid who found an oasis in the desert.
I quickly filled my glass with the grape juice and drank it in one gulp.After I drank it.I found out its aftertaste was a little bit. sour and dry.I wondered why I felt hotter after drinking the chilled liquid.I considered deeply what I should do and hit on a great idea.I put some sugar and ice into the glass and poured the liquid again.It turned into a tasty and full-bodied liquid.I took great pleasure in drinking it.
When I was going to drink another glass of the liquid, gradually something began to take hold of me.I noticed that I was laughing unconsciously, and I was unsteady on my legs.After I drank three glasses of the strange liquid, I fell into a deep sleep.
After a while, my mother came back and found a half bottle of wine and her little drunken kid.She was astounded at the sight of the unbelievable scene.She hastened to give me a lot of tap water to decrease the concentration of alcohol.I was finally given tap water by my mother.
After this event, I learned that there was a magic liquid in the world.
However, strangely enough, I never saw the magic liquid again in my house.
